The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace provides a platform for information sharing and produces insightful research to address informational asymmetry among international powers while promoting peace. Since its founding by Andrew Carnegie in 1910, the nonprofit has been dedicated to “help countries and institutions take on the most difficult global problems and safeguard peace.” The CEIP represents the vast number of think tanks that contribute to world peace through deepening cultural and academic ties among countries where the organization operates.
We chose the CEIP as one of our locations as it is symbolic of the nongovernmental actors that play a role in building understanding within international relations. More particularly, CEIP focuses on the current challenges many governments face, particularly with regards to demographics, economy, and sustainable transition. This topical focus aligns with each of our themes separately as well as the development focus of our 2023 conference as a whole.
