The Research Leads for the VBRYGE conference will be working closely with the Director of Research and the Executive Board to lead and implement an academic or creative research project related to one of the conference topics. As a research lead, you will be involved in creating a research strategy and timeline for the conference, exploring the themes in depth with Mentors in the field to prepare for Research Fellow recruitment, preparing a research handbook, recruiting and onboarding the research team, and seeing the research process through.

Requirement
Enrolled in a full-time university program at the bachelor/master/doctoral level or equivalent
Have a strong interest (or background) in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, or any issues relevant to China and greater Asia-Pacific affairs
Able to take ownership and initiative and actively engage with Research Fellows and the rest of the V-BRYGE admin team
Demonstrate research and analytical experience
Attentive to details, dependable and flexible
Strong communication skills
Time commitment (tentative)
November/December 2022, 2 hours per week
January- mid February 2023, 5 hours per week
March-mid April 2023, 5 hours per week
